Homebrew Class for D&D 5E

An unsuspecting man walks through the streets at night, every kind of danger lurking in the shadows of the moon’s dim light. An ambush is made, but who says that the robbers are fools? Six against one, they have both the ground and darkness in their favor.

The poor merchant begins to pray to his gods, just before quick sounds of heavy metal boots can be heard, completely breaking the silence. A huge cloaked silhouette encounters the robbers. Soon the mantle falls to the ground as the shine of a polished shield takes over the blaze of the heavy armor. Defense always comes first, six against one, since the poor trader lost his courage.

While the crying man prays on his knees, begging for his life, the sound of breaking bones and bodies being thrown around is deafening. In the end there are only two men alive, one is the merchant and the other, his savior. Know the Égide, because everyone needs help from time to time.

The Égide is a warrior whom decided to fight through defense, using his own protection to attack, as well as to save those he desires keep alive.
